Welcome!
Over my time as a Registrar in Emergency Medicine (by FAR the best and most exciting specialty), I created several OSCE stations as part of my practice for the real thing. Something must have worked, as I passed the exam first go!
Each OSCE station was based on a case I had actually been involved in, or discussed after the fact - the majority being cases I was lucky enough to be involved in.
From de-identified data, I created an OSCE station around each, aiming to use these to train both myself and other trainees for the exam. Each station has a page for the candidate, one for the actor, and a marking scheme out of 10. I have tried to be as faithful as possible to the actual exam, and have had positive feedback from trainees I have taken through the stations.
In the interest of FOAM, I am now sharing these stations online in the hope they may help others prepare for the exam.
I have also added short answer questions (SAQ) for the Fellowship exam, with model answers.
For junior doctors, I've added a tab for Interns with useful guides to common ward issues and some tips on how to have a life as a junior doctor (clue: be organised!).
I welcome any feedback, as this is my first time creating a website. Being somewhat old fashioned, I've so far trekked around Australia with a lever arch folder containing print outs of the stations...so the interweb is novel territory for me!
Note: I find it works best if you open the OSCE stations in Adobe - there is a tab for this on the OSCE page. You can then easily navigate between the stations.
Good luck, and happy practicing!
